Molbox/Molbloc Mass Flow Calibration System from DH Instruments

The DH Instruments molbox/molbloc system is quickly becoming the industry standard for calibration of gas mass flow controllers (MFCs) and mass flow meters (MFMs) in the range of 1 sccm to 1000 slm. The molbox system is replacing mercury-sealed piston provers, rate-of-rise (ROR) systems and bell provers because of its fast response, high-accuracy and automation capabilities. With the addition of COMPASS for molbox software, the calibration process can be completely automated, including full data-logging and certificate printing.

The molbox interfaces with MFCs directly, using the test device to vary the flow for automated, multi-point calibration sequences. In the case of MFMs, which have no flow control capability, the system allows a separate MFC to be used for setting flow, allowing full automation as well.

While the molbox/molbloc system can be used manually via the front panel, the COMPASS for molbox software package adds additional functionality, including:

Unattended multipoint calibration of MFCs and MFMs
Archiving of calibration data for each DUT
Calibration report generation directly from COMPASS
Automatic generation of gas correction factors (K-factors)
Automated calibration of MFMs using any MFC for gas flow control

Reference Flow Monitor  from DH Instruments

Molbox RFM is a portable, lower-cost version of the molbox system detailed above.  Using the same molbloc laminar flow elements as the molbox1, RFM is useful in a variety of measurement, test and calibration applications where highly accurate measurement of low gas flows are needed.   RFM is also compatible with COMPASS automated calibration and logging software, simplifying data collection and archiving.
