Precision Weights and Weight Sets from Troemner
Troemner's weight selection
includes every imaginable size and type - from 5,000 lb cast iron test weights to
extremely precise, highly polished one-piece stainless steel weights. They are one of the
world's largest independent commercial metrology laboratories offering comprehensive
weight calibration and certification services.
The weight group consists of stainless steel
analytical weights and electronic balance calibration weights, both for use in your most
precise applications. To meet international specifications, Troemner offers one and
two piece style stainless steel OIML weights. These weights conform to the
specifications laid out in OIML R111, the international document for weights.
Troemner also offers a range of cast iron weights, and a selection of brass weights.
We manufacture special weights for your most difficult application.

Troemner's proprietary Mass
Standards Handbook is a useful reference for all metrology laboratory personnel.
This Handbook is designed to clarify the applications, classifications and physical
characteristics of precision weights and mass standards and the tolerances used in their
production and calibration. Anyone who uses balances, scales and associated
calibration weights/weight sets in their work will find this publication a helpful and
practical aid. |

Troemner Stainless Steel Analytical Weights
For your most precise weighing needs, Troemner's
analytical weights are essential. These weights are manufactured from stainless steel bar
stock chosen for its uniform density , high resistance to wear and corrosion, and low
magnetic properties to produce the finest weights available. Troemner produces this style weight in two
configurations, one-piece and two-piece. While both are manufactured to meet or exceed
tolerance specifications for their class, one-piece weights should be used when the
application calls for reference standards or when maximum stability is required. A precise
measurement of density can only be made with a one-piece mass standard. For calibration
applications, two-piece weights offer the advantage of being repairable and can be
adjusted by Troemner's metrology laboratory over time. |

Troemner Electronic Balance Weights
To get the full accuracy your electronic balance/scale provides,
you need to perform routine calibrations and adjustments using precision calibration
weights. Troemner offers stainless steel calibration weights manufactured especially for
this purpose. Weights are available in cylindrical and stackable grip-handle
configurations for all necessary testing, calibration and adjustment of electronic scales
and balances. Troemner's electronic balance calibration weights are adjusted in strict
accordance with standard ANSI/ASTM E617. |

Troemner Stainless Steel OIML Weights
Ideal for your high precision weighing needs, Troemner OIML weights
conform to the standards of the Organization Internationale de Metrologie Legale (OIML)
International Recommendation R 111. They are manufactured of stainless steel with low
magnetic permeability and high resistance to corrosion. All surfaces are polished to a
perfect, mirror like finish to form the finest weights available. As specified in R 111, Troemner's OIML weights are available
in one or two piece configurations. One piece weights meet tolerance classes E1 and E2,
while two piece weights meet F1, F2, and below. Milligram OIML weights are available in
two styles - flat, with one side turned up to form a handle, and wire with a hollow center
for easy gripping.
Troemner OIML weight sets - 500 grams and
higher - are supplied in strong oak cases and are fully lined with padded velvet or
velour. Weight sets 200 grams and lower and all individual weights come in attractive,
sturdy plastic cases. |

Troemner Brass Weights
Troemner manufactures economical, high
quality brass weights and weight sets that are ideal for general laboratory, industrial,
technical and educational use. These brass weights and weight sets are designed for all
routine weighing where ultra-precise tolerances are not required, but where economy is
essential. These weights are
carefully manufactured of lacquered brass or of stainless steel. These weights are
adjusted according to ANSI/ASTM, NIST or OIML specifications depending upon our customer's
requirements. For the protection of the weights, Troemner includes a rugged carrying case
with these weight sets. |

Troemner Class F Test Weights
Troemner stainless steel test weights are
available for work with balances of less precision and accuracy. These weights are
intended to be used primarily to test commercial weighing devices for compliance with the
requirements of NIST Handbook 44. The weights are calibrated according to NIST Handbook
105-1 specifications for Class F. Troemner's test weights are available in a variety of denominations
including metric, avoirdupois, grain, troy and pennyweight. Troemner has also designed
test weights in different shapes such as cylindrical, cube, stackable grip handle, slotted
and hook styles to meet your unique weighing applications. |

Troemner Cast Iron Weights
Troemner's cast iron weights are legal for trade, and are available up to 2000 kg or 5000
lbs. These weights are used to examine devices used in commerce, as reference standards in
state weights and measures laboratories and in industrial, educational, and research
laboratories. Smaller cast iron weights are available in slotted styles that can be used
with a weight hanger. Troemner's cast iron weights meet Class F specifications and
tolerances which are listed in NIST Handbook 105-1. |
